Rowland George McManis (1841–1930)

Mr. Rowland George McManis, formerly a western grazier, died recently at Beecroft.

Mr. McManis was born 87 years ago at Sutherland House. He purchased Teridgerie station, in the Coonamble district, which he conducted for many years. Following a succession of droughts in the 'nineties, he sold his property and entered the postal service. He retired in 1907, and had resided at Beecroft since then. He is survived by two daughters and two sons.

The funeral took place at the Methodist section of the Rookwood cemetery.
