George Cohen (1840–1901)

The death is announced in Sydney of Mr. George Cohen, twin brother of his Honor Justice Cohen, and brother of Mr Nathan Cohen of Tamworth. The deceased gentleman who had been ailing a considerable time, was well-known in this district, having been proprietor for some years of Cohen's Family Hotel, the leading hotel in Maitland in those days. Leaving here the late Mr. Cohen went to Melbourne where he was manager of a large hotel, and he afterwards resided in Sydney where his death took place. The gentleman leaves a widow and family, Mr. Victor Cohen of Tamworth being one of his sons.
