Albert Whalan (1851–1937)

A large crowd of mourners attended the funeral of Mr. Ab. [Albert] Whalan, senr., which took place at Oberon cemetery on Sunday afternoon.

The deceased was 86 years of age, and had spent his life in the Oberon district. He was very well-known and highly respected by all who were privileged to know him. He is survived by three sons, Messrs. Albert (Edith), Edward (Charbon) and Jack (Edith), and two daughters, Mrs. Dan Brady (Lidsdale) and Mrs. Jack Dwyer (Edith).

The cause of Mr. Whalan's death was the fall from a dray near his home on Wednesday last.
