John Turnbull (1850–1938)

One of the oldest and most respected residents of Wilberforce, in the person of Mr. John Turnbull, aged 88 years, passed away at the Hawkesbury District Hospital last Saturday. The deceased, who had followed farming pursuits, had resided in the Hawkesbury district practically all his life. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. J. Hawkins (Wilberforce) and two sons, Harry (Ryde), and Albert (Wilberforce), his wife and a number of other members of the family having predeceased him some years ago.

The funeral took place last Sunday, the remains being laid to rest in the Church of England portion of the Wilberforce cemetery, the Rev. Saunders officiating at the graveside.

Mr. Chandler, Windsor, had charge of the funeral arrangements.
