There passed away at Kempsey this morning an old and respected resident in the person of Mr. William George Perry, aged 84 years, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Perry, of Rollands Plains, in which centre deceased was born. The deceased was married at Kempsey to a Miss Mary McClellan, of Grafton, who predeceased him some four years ago. For some years they resided at Coff's Harbor, where deceased was engaged in the sawmilling trade and also as a butcher. On returning to the Macleay he again engaged in the sawmilling trade, and of late years followed the occupation of a general carpenter. He leaves a family of three sons and three daughters to mourn the passing of a loving and devoted father. The daughters are Mesdames Bates (Sydney), W. M. Jeffery (West Kempsey), and E. F. Jeffery (Euroka), and the sons Messrs. James Perry (Wauchope) and Victor and Arthur (Kempsey). Mr. Daniel Perry (Grafton) is a brother of deceased, and Mesdames Gorman (Grafton), Cassidy (Glenreagh) and H. Young (Sydney) are sisters. The funeral, conducted by Mr. J. R. Garland will take place to-morrow from the funeral chapel, Clyde-street, and proceed to the East Kempsey Methodist cemetery.
