Emily Grace Smith (1847–1925)

Death occurred suddenly, at the age of 78 years, at her residence, Hawthorne, near Bathurst, this afternoon, of Mrs. Emily Grace Smith, widow of the late Mr. Fergus Jago Smith, M.L.C., who died last year. She was a native of Bathurst, the eldest daughter of the late Dr. Richard MacHattie. Dr. T. A. MacHattie, a retired medical practitioner of Bathurst, is the only surviving brother of the deceased. Mrs. M. F. Koebecke, of Bathurst, and Mrs. L. M. Brownrigg are surviving sisters.
