Joseph Preston (1831–1910)

We regret to chronicle the death of one of the oldest inhabitants of Inverell in the person of Mr Joseph Preston, aged 79 years. The sad event took place on Monday at his daughters (Mrs Dickerson) residence in Granville-street. The deceased leaves a wife and large grown up family. The funeral took place to-day the remains being interred in the Church of England portion of the cemetery, the service at the graveside being read by the Salvation Army Captain.
