James Burrowes Maley (1864–1944)

Mr J. B. [James Burrowes] Maley, who died during the weekend at the home of his daughter in Adelaide, will leave a fond memory with many Angastonians whom he taught during his long period as headmaster here; a period in which he infused into public life the precepts he inculcated. He was for more than 20 years chairman of Angaston Football Club; prominently associated with the Show and other bodies; and was very proud of his school's record in the last war. The family comprises Nell, Len (AMF), Rup, Ruth, Reg (AIF), Doss' and Eileen.
