from Morning Post
William Hobbs died yesterday of cancer in the throat.
The deceased was a son of the late Dr. Hobbs of Brisbane, and brother to Mr. Hobbs, of the firm of Hobbs Wilson & Co., solicitors. He at the time occupied a position in the public service, but for several years past has been in poor circumstances, having been separated from his family for a number of years. He was at one time well known in Brisbane cricket and social circles.
