Thomas Robertson Elliot (1874–1945)

Word has been received of the death in Pingely Western Australia last week of Mr. T. R. [Thomas Robertson] Elliot at the age of 70 years. The late Mr. Elliot was born at Mount William, near Moyston, and went to Brimpaen with his parents when quite young. He attended the Brimpaen State School for a number of years. Later in life he represented the ratepayers in the south riding of the Arapiles Shire and held the position of president of the shire. He will long be remembered by many for his kind, charitable disposition. In 1910 he left this district and made his home in Western Australia. His wife pre-deceased him a few years ago. There are no children. Mr. John Elliot, of Englefield, is a brother of deceased. Two other brothers — Charles and Robert — are deceased, also three sisters — Thomasina, Mary (Mrs. Geo. Carter) and Helen (Mrs. Brimacombe).
