Joseph Tertius West (1823–1891)

Joseph West, one of the oldest residents on the Lachlan, died at his residence here this morning. The deceased was some years ago one of the most extensive squatters on the Lachlan, with his brothers Major and John West, both of whom have died within the last few years, holding several very large stations about this district. For a year or so back Mr. West has been in declining health, and breathed his last this morning.
