Tardent, Jules Louis (1894–1982)

The Queensland Division wishes to record the deaths of several well-known retired members of the Institute during 1982:

J. (Jules) Tardent (1894–1982): Formerly Forest Ranger and Inspector with the Queensland Department of Forestry, Jules passed away in November 1982. Jules had a long and colourful career which began at Gallipoli and extended through a variety of areas within the Department. Since his retirement in 1960, Jules has been involved in writing his family's history, a job he completed prior to his death. The book is currently at the publishers.
