Archibald Gordon McAskill (1898–1916)

Mr. and Mrs. McAskill, of Alberton, have received news of the death of their second son Private A. G. [Archibald Gordon] McAskill, who died on July 20 from wounds received in action. Private McAskill was only 18 years old last February. He enlisted about eight months ago. While in Egypt he was transferred. Prior to joining the colors he was employed by the International Harvester Company. His elder brother Corporal A. M. McAskill is now serving with a machine gun section.
