John Alexander Macarthur (1827–1904)

Mr. John Alexander Macarthur died last night of old age. He was formerly Police Magistrate in this district and had reached the age of seventy-nine years. The deceased was a son of Captain Macarthur, an explorer in the forties*.

* His father was Hannibal Hawkins Macarthur
