William King (1838–1924)

The death occurred at Canterbury, Victoria, on October 12, of Mr. William King, at the age of 86 years. He arrived in Australia with his father from England in 1853 at the age of 16 years, and afterwards became well known in both Adelaide and Port Adelaide, as a timber merchant. Mr. King removed to Victoria 40 years ago. Mr. King has left a widow, seven sons, and four daughters. There are also 44 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
