John Higgins (?–1929)

from Brisbane Courier

The death occurred in Melbourne on Wednesday night of Mr. John Higgins, brother of the late Mr. Justice Higgins, whose death took place two or three weeks since. The late Mr. John Higgins was a well-known Melbourne accountant, but he had been ill for three years or more. Nearly two years ago he and Mrs. Higgins came to Brisbane, hoping that the warmer climate would be beneficial. Unfortunately, however, he had to spend several months in a private hospital, where a serious operation was performed. Mr. and Mrs. Higgins returned to Melbourne shortly before Christmas. One son is living, and a daughter, Mrs. Vance Palmer (Nettie Palmer, the well-known contributor to the Courier), resides at Caloundra.
