Peter Glover (1809–1890)

Mr. Peter Glover, an old and well-esteemed resident of Kilmore, died on Saturday morning after an illness of some months, borne with exemplary patience. Deceased gentleman had attained the age of 81 years, and reared a large and respectable family in our midst, all of whom are married and doing for themselves. He was vigorous, possessing all his faculties up to within a few months of his by death, the cause of which was old age. Mr. Glover first came to Kilmore about 41 years ago, and has been a continuous resident here since then. He was a straightforward, sober, honorable man, and his funeral on Monday afternoon was a large one. Father Walsh read the service at the grave.
