Matthew Forrest (1857–1884)

from Inquirer & Commercial News

The many friends of the Forrest family will regret to learn that news was received last week from the Pearling Grounds on the N. W. Coast, of the death of Mr. Matthew Forrest, youngest brother of the Surveyor General. Mr. Forrest had been suffering from measles, and he succumbed to the after effects of that loathsome disease.
