Lewis George Cohen (1886–1954)

Lewis Cohen, who died suddenly during the week, was responsible for much of the beautification of the area surrounding the greens at the Double Bay Club.

He was a proud man a fortnight ago when the new clubhouse was officially opened by the State Governor.

He was a director of Elliotts and Australian Drug Co. Ltd., and contemplated retiring at the end of this year to concentrate on bowls.
