Violet Stock (1850–1927)

OBITUARY.

There died on Sunday Mre. R. A. Stock, fifth daughter of the late Sir John and lady Morphett. Mrs. Stock had latterly lived a very retired life at East View, East terrace, but continued, unobtrusively, to perform many acts of kindness among the poor. She was 76 years of age. Twice married, the former Miss Morphett was Mrs. R[eginald] Cobb, and there were two sons of the union, W. M. Cobb, of Portugal, and R. F. Cobb, of England. Much of that portion of the deceased's life was spent in New Zealand. Years later, she was married to Mr. Stock, and there is a daughter of that union, Mrs. P. R. Newling, of Adelaide. There are also several grandchildren. Mr. Stock died a number of years ago.
