James Sly (1849–1926)

James Sly, lately residing at the Glebe, was knocked down by a cyclist in George-street at 6.15 p.m. on Saturday, and died in the Sydney Hospital yesterday.

The cyclist asked the man whether he was hurt. The man replied that he was alright and the cyclist then rode away.

Sergeant Plowden, of Pegent-street station is anxious to get into communication with the cyclist.
