Skene, David Alexander (1855–1921)

Old Scotch Collegians will regret to learn of the death of Mr. David A. [Alexander] Skene, the third son of the late Mr. William Skene, of Hamilton. Mr. Skene, who was born at Hamilton, in 1855, had been ill for many months, and died at his residence, Caroline street, South Yarra, on Saturday afternoon. Mr. Skene was vice-president of the Old Scotch Collegians' Club at the time that his brother, Mr. Thomas Skene, was president, and took a keen interest in all matters connected with the school, especially the sports, having himself been a member of both the cricket and football teams in the early seventies. Mr. Skene was 67 years of age, and leaves a widow, two sons, and two daughters, the former being old Scotch Collegians.
