Gladstone Emmett Ryan (1894–1947)

Gladstone Emmett Ryan, headmaster of Baan Baa Public School, near Tamworth, was found dead in the back yard of his home adjoining the school building. A double-barrelled shotgun was near the body. Ryan was returning the gun which he had borrowed from a neighbour to shoot crows. It is believed the gun was discharged as he placed it against a gate post when he was opening the gate.
