In industrial circles regret will be felt at the death of Mr. Charles Rawlings, who was a prominent figure in the Labor movement for the past quarter of a century. Mr. Rawlings was one of the original trustees of the Trades Hall, and he was for close on twenty-five years treasurer of the council of the institution. Owing to failing health he resigned the position of treasurer about seven months ago, and Mr. T. Kean (Saddlers' Union) was appointed in his stead. He was over 70 years of age, and death was due to general break up of the system. The funeral will leave his residence, 65 Cromwell-street, Collingwood, on Thursday (to-day), at 3 p.m.
