Carrie Moss (1855–1944)

An old resident, in Miss Carrie Moss, passed away at her residence, Garden Square, Gordon, on the 28th December, at the age of 89, after having been an invalid for many years.

She was the youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Moss of Sydney. Her father was a gifted musician and conducted a pianoforte and music warehouse in Hunter Street.

All her brothers and sisters predeceased her. They were Mrs. Rachel Ahronson, whose family, resides at Stanmore; Mrs. Isabella Lazarus, the bequests of whose daughters led to the establishment and erection of the Children's Home at Hunters Hill, which bears her name; Mr. Morris Moss and Mr. Sydney Moss, the eminent musician, who, for a long period, conducted the choir of the Great Synagogue.
