Sydney Vincent Moffitt (1889–1950)

Mr. Sydney Vincent Moffitt, manager of the Parramatta branch of the Rural Bank of New South Wales, died at his home yesterday after a short illness.

Born 61 years ago on the Shoalhaven, where his father, Mr Charles Mofitt, was a well known farmer and grazier, Mr. Sydney Moffitt joined the Government Savings Bank in 1906. Later he transferred to the Commonwealth Bank and finally to the Rural Bank.

He was manager of the Taree branch of the Rural Bank for nine years before transferring to Parramatta four years ago.

He is survived by Mrs. Moffitt and five children, Paul and lan (now in Europe), Geneva (Mrs. J. Stocks), Marjorie (Mrs. F. Palmer), and Ruth.
