Philomena (Minnie) Lalor (1860–1923)
The death of Mrs. M. [Philomena] Lalor, who was prominent in Labour circles, occurred at the Coast Hospital at an early hour yesterday. Mrs. Lalor was for many years a resident of Randwick and Paddington, and was prominently connected with the Labour party, being a member of the A.L.P. executive for several years, and the founder of the Domestic Workers' Union. She was a foundation member of the Workers' Educational Association, and was closely connected with several charitable organisations.
She has left four daughters—Mrs. J. Power, and the Misses Annie, Marie, and Marjorie Lalor, of Randwick. The funeral will leave Messrs. Kinsela's mortuary chapel, Oxford street, Darlinghurst, this morning, at 9.30 o'clock.
