The death occurred unexpectedly at the Perth Hospital on 20th February of Mr. Stanley Thomas Hook who, a resident of Koorda at the time; contested unsuccessfully the Mt. Marshall seat in the last State Assembly elections as the endorsed Labor candidate. The late Mr. Hook, who had been residing at Mt. Helena for the past couple of years, leaves a widow who, formerly a Miss Eakins, of Tardun, is a sister of Mrs. Harry Fitzgerald, of Goomalling.
