Anne Norah Hook (1898–1947)

It was unexpected and unpleasant news to friends and acquaintances in Goomalling to learn that Mrs. Anne Norah Hook had passed away in Perth last Saturday week. Widow of the late Mr. Stan Hook (at one period of Koorda), the late lady was before her marriage a Miss Eakins, member of an old established family of the Mullewa district and a sister of Mrs. Harry Fitzgerald, of Goomalling. Following the death of her husband in recent times, the late Mrs. Hook hoped to open a restuarant in Goomalling but was unable to find suitable premises and at the time of her fatal collapse was living at Mt. Hawthorn.
