The latest intelligence from the Dardanelles conveys the sad tidings of the death of three well-known young Western Australians.

A private cable just received by relatives notifies that Mr. Gresley Tatlock Harper, his brother, Mr. Wilfred Lukin Harper, and Mr. A. P. Turnbull have been killed in action. These three young men, each of them a native of this State, were so widely known and highly esteemed that the news of their tragic deaths at an age and time when life seemed possessed of such great possibilities for them, will be sad reading for many. The two young Harpers were sons of the late Mr. Charles Harper. The late Mr Gresley Tatlock Harper was 32 years of age. His early education was obtained at the Grammar School, Guildford. Later he studied at St. Peter's College, Adelaide, and after a term at that institution he passed on to Trinity College, Melbourne University. Some years ago he was admitted to the Victorian Bar, and in 1912 was admitted to the Western Australian Bar. He was practising as a solicitor in Perth when war broke out, and joined the Light Horse on its formation, going forward as a trooper. The late Mr. Wilfred Lukin Harper was the youngest boy of the family. He was 22 years of age. He received his education at the Guildford Grammar School, after which he interested himself in agricultural matters at Gingin, and later at Balingap. Like his brother Gresley, he was unmarried.
