Charles Gregory (1831–1901)

A very old, and by older residents a very well known Maryborough resident, Mr. Charles Gregory, died yesterday at the age of 70 years, at his residence Saltwater Creek road. He was a member of the pioneer Gregory family, being a brother of Mesdames Neil Blue, Ready, and Reid, and the late Mrs. Goodwin and Mrs. Irwin, and settled in Maryborough in 1850. The deceased for many years followed the trade of a cooper. His wife died a few weeks ago. The funeral takes place this morning.
