Elsie Dora Fairfax (?–1933)

The death took place suddenly on Saturday of Mrs. Harold W. Fairfax, at her residence, Meriden, Victoria-road, Bellevue Hill. The deceased lady, whose husband—fourth son of the late Sir James Reading Fairfax—died some 20 years ago was the second daughter of the late Mr Alfred John Cape, founder of the firm of Cape and Kent solicitors. Of a quiet retiring disposition, she took little part in public life but was a very good friend and active helper of various charitable and philanthropic movements, among them being the Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children, the Day Nursery Association, and the Crippled Children's Society. The funeral took place at South Head Cemetery yesterday.
