John Davison (1798–1841)

At his residence, Tavistock-place, Durham, England, Captain John Davison, aged seventy-seven, and father of Mr. Davison of Wollongong; he was forty-four years in the Honorable Hudson's Bay Company's Service, during ten of which he commanded their Fleet, much and deservedly respected.
