Robert George (Bob) Cram (1904–1949)

President of the Newcastle branch of the Building Workers' Industrial Union (Mr. R. G. Cram) died at his home. York Crescent, Belmont, on Monday night.

Mr. Cram, who is survived by his widow and nine children, had been in ill-health for some months.

He had been a unionist for more than 30 years and had been northern president of the B.W.I.U. for the past three years.

The secretary of the branch (Mr. C. Hall) said today that the Trades Hall Council would be approached to consider means of assisting his family.
