Kathleen Amy Butchart (1891–1929)

It is with very deep feelings of regret that we chronicle the death, at Manly of Mrs. Norman Butchart, formerly Miss Kathleen Amy McCarthy, of Grenfell, and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. McCarthy, who now reside at No. 1 Glencoe Flats, East Esplanade, Manly.

Mrs. Butchart took ill about a month ago and was taken to Sydney an operation being performed. After a grim fight she appeared to be improving when pneumonia supervened and she passed away on Thursday evening last.

As Miss Kathleen McCarthy the deceased lady was well known at Grenfell, where she spent the greater part of her life, and many here will mourn her, and from whom goes out much sympathy for the bereaved husband and parents.

The funeral was on Friday afternoon, burial being in the Catholic cemetery at Manly.
