William Richard Burnside (1840–1916)

Mr. William Richard Burnside, grazier, of Clyde, died yesterday, aged 88 years. Mr. Burnside was a colonist of 64 years, and for 30 years was a leading merchant of Ballarat. He was at the Eureka Stockade. Mr. Burnside also resided for a number of years at Healesville. He leaves a wife and three sons and three daughters, one of the sons being Councillor W. A. Burnside, of the Healesville Shire Council.
