Isabella Innes Anderson (1866–1940)

MRS. I. I. ANDERSON

The death occurred yesterday at her home, Williams road, Toorak, of Mrs. Isabel I. Anderson. A descendant of Andrew Suter, who was A.D.C. to the Marquis of Hastings when Governor-General of India, Mrs. Anderson was bom in Yambuk (V.). Her father was Andrew Vernon Suter, of Yambuk and Castlemaddie Stations, a pastoralist who arrived in Victoria in 1845. Her mother was a daughter of David Fisher, manager of the Derwent Company, who arrived in Geelong In 1836, and was one of the pioneers of the district. Mrs. Anderson's philanthropic interests included the Melbourne District Nursing Society and the Fitzroy Mission Free Kindergarten. She was a member of the Victoria League.

The funeral will leave the parlours of J. Monkhouse and Sons, 124 Carpenter street, North Brighton, at 2.30 p.m. today for the Springvale Crematorium.
