Dr. Ronald Hamlyn Harris, who won world-wide renown for his research into mosquito control, died today, aged 78. He came to Queensland from England in 1902 to teach German and science at the Toowoomba Grammar School. He was Queensland Museum Director from 1910 to 1917 and City Council entomologist from 1926 to 1933. He is survived by his wife and six children.
