The Rev. Israel Morris Goldreich, rabbi of the Ballarat East Jewish Synagogue, died on Tuesday, from heart disease, at the age of 71. He was esteemed by all classes of the community for the active interest he took in charitable work. Two of his sons fought in the Boer war. He will be accorded a Masonic funeral, as he was chaplain of the Sebastopol Lodge since its inception, and chaplain to the Grand Lodge in Melbourne.
