A private cable message was received from London yesterday announcing the death on Sunday last of Mrs. Fairfax, widow of Mr. Edward Ross Fairfax (formerly a partner in the firm of John Fairfax and Sons, proprietors of the Sydney Morning Herald), who died in August last year. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Daniel Mackenzie, of Camden-road, London.
