Mary Elizabeth Wallis (?–1933)

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Wallis, who died this week at Bondi, was the widow of the late Mr. Charles Leicester Wallis, one of the founders of Winchcombe, Carson, and Company, and managing director of the firm for many years She was a sister of the late Mr. J. J. Ferris, a former test cricket player.

The chief mourners at the funeral were Messrs. Stanley and Gordon Wallis (sons), T. Ferris (brother), E. George Marks and C. H. Shortland (sons-in-law), William L. Shortland (grandson), Eric Hamilton and Clive Ferris (nephews).

Others present included Messrs D. A. Day, A. E. Armstrong, N. Phillips, A. Hart, W. Macmanamey, E. A. C. Jones, Captain D. J. Marshall, and Mr. G. L. Gardiner.
