Mr. E. E. Turnour, of Lynwood, Roma, Q., who died some time ago from blood poisoning, supervening on a broken wrist incurred over three years ago, and which was not attended to, was born in Norfolk, England. He was the son of Mr. Horatio Turnour, and grandson of Admiral Keppel, and when he first came out to Australia, went on to Huntley Station in the Clermont district of Queensland for experience with a Mr. Bell. Huntley is now owned by Messrs. Mackay & Co.
On leaving here the late Mr. Turnour went to Lansdowne Station, Tambo, where he was under Mr. J. Turnbull, and next took up droving for some time for the Lansdowne Pastoral Company. During the last sixteen years he held properties of his own, spending most of that time at Lynwood.
He was a nephew of Admiral Edward Winterton Turnour, and married Miss Annie Milne, of Tambo. His wife survives him.
