Llewellyn Gilbert (Lyn) Truscott (1884–1936)

Some surprise was evinced at the death of Lyn Truscott, although recently he suffered from loss of memory. His body was found on Botany golf links on Monday. He bought a house here four years ago, and as he was a handy man with tools he had improved it and also had a fine garden. Some 30 years ago he was a prominent pugilist and fought in different overseas countries. He was a returned soldier, and possibly his experiences at the front may have been the cause of his untimely end.
