from Pastoral Review, 16 July 1924

Mr. Isaac H. Thomas, of Pitherty, Cunnamulla, Q., died recently, at the age of 59. Born at Goangra Station, Walgett, N.S.W., then the property of the late Hon. E. K. Cox, he was educated at Newington College, Sydney, and on leaving school went to Wapweelah Station, Bourke, where his father was managing for Jas. Robertson and Co. Pty. Limited. Thence he went to Clyde Station as bookkeeper, then to Maranoa as manager for the late James Tyson, and back to Wapweelah as sub-manager for his father, after which he in turn managed the following stations:—Owengowan, Kilcowera, Wilga Downs, Bungle Gully, and lastly Tinenburra, which he controlled for upwards of 11 years. He then acquired Pitherty, which he held until his death.

The late Mr. Thomas was a man of sterling qualities and of a happy, generous and kindly disposition. A good sportsman, he excelled in all branches, but shone most on horseback. He leaves a widow, two sons and four daughters. His twin brother, Mr. H. W. Thomas, is manager of Headingley Station, Urandangie, Q.
