John (Jack) Sinclair (1867–1936)

Mr J. [John] Sinclair, J.P., who had been secretary of the Brick, Tile and Pottery Union for more than 30 years, died in the Melbourne Hospital early this morning.

A week ago he was operated on for appendicitis.

Mr Sinclair, who was 65 last Monday, has represented his union on the Trades Hall Council and Australian Labor Party conferences for many years, and was a member of the West Brunswick branch of the A.L.P.

Mr Sinclair was a life member of the Brunswick Football Club, with which he was associated for more than 30 years. He was president of the Supporters Committee. In the past he represented the club as a delegate to the Association, and on the Brunswick Recreation Reserve Committee.
