Janet Simpson (1890–1936)

The death occurred at St. Vincent's private hospital last night of Mrs. Julian Simpson, wife of Mr. Julian Simpson, of Woollahra House, Woollahra Point. Mrs. Simpson had been ill only a short while, but her condition at the week-end caused great concern.

Mrs Simpson was formerly Miss Janet Knox, youngest daughter of the late Mr Edward Knox, and of Mrs Knox, of Rona, Bellevue Hill and granddaughter of the late Sir Edward and Lady Knox of Fiona, Edgecliff.

She married, on August 27, 1934, Mr. Julian Simpson, son of the late Mr. G. C. Simpson and Mrs. Ashburton Thompson and grandson of the late Sir George and Lady Simpson, of Darling Point. Mrs. Ashburton Thompson arrived from England only a few weeks ago to visit her son and daughter-in-law.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Simpson will be of a private nature.
