George Shuker (1799–1833)

The Wanstead whaler parted company with the Harmony, Swindells, on the 20th August last, off Howe's Island, with 1,200 barrels of oil stowed; steering for the Bay of Islands to refresh; had one boat stove, one man killed, and one severely hurt by a whale. George Shuker, cooper, died on the 22d May last.
