Alfred George H. Sandeman (1817–1883)

Death of Sir. A. Sandeman.

Our readers will doubtlesss feel both surprise and I regret at the announcement of the death of Mr. Alfred Sandeman, one of the official assignees in the Insolvent Court of New South Wales. Mr. Sandeman recently paid a visit to Melbourne, where he was enjoying a short holiday, and while there on Friday afternoon last, took suddenly ill from diarrhoea. Apoplexy supervened, and he died after a few hours illness. He was staying at the Oriental Hotel with his wife and some members of his family. Mr. Sandeman was widely known and greatly respected. He leaves a widow and several sons and daughters.
