Henry Bourne Royds (1855–1895)

The many friends of Mr. H. B. Royds, resident partner of Emmett Downs Station, will regret to hear of his death from rheumatic fever, followed by pleurisy, at Isisford, on Saturday, 26th October. Mr. Royds was a well-known and highly-esteemed member of this association, in whose operations he took a deep and active interest. He was also highly respected in the district in which he resided, and was one time spoken of as Parliamentary candidate for the electorate of the Barcoo. The demands of his own business, however, prevented him from consenting to the nomination.
