Mary Petrie (?–1930)

The death occurred at her daughter's residence, Ipswich, on August 10, of Mrs. Mary Petrie, relict of the late Captain Charles Petrie (O.G., 15th A.L.H.), formerly of the engineering staff of the Mount Morgan Gold Mining Co., Ltd., and later, of Nanango. The late Mrs. Petrie had for the past five years resided with her family at Fifth-avenue, Windsor. Deceased was a native of Ballarat, but came to Queensland with her parents over 40 years ago, when they settled at Mt. Morgan. She is survived by five sons—Messrs. Leslie S. Petrie (Goondiwindi), Charles Petrie (Tully), and Hilary, Cyril, and Leo Petrie (Brisbane), and three daughters, Mrs. Len. Jackson (Ipswich), and Misses Claire and Hilda Petrie (Brisbane).
